If you’re a fan of Artic Monkeys but find them a bit too tame to satisfy your inner badass-punk self, check out the next big import from across the pond – The Displacements. The four Brits, most still in their teens, formed the group in 2003 and have since put out some of the roughest, rudest, and most incredible dance-punk-rock-whatever since The Buzzcocks.
The band, currently on tour in Great Britain, recently signed with Stiff, and should be releasing a full-length album soon. Until then, check out their myspace and enjoy their raucous, mosh-inducing single “Lazy Bones,” or the dreamy, pure pop of “Down and Out.”
