Rock’s sexiest duo (no, not Hall & Oates) has just released one of this year’s sexiest singles, fitting for a band who relies on their “are-they-or-aren’t-they” chemistry.
“U.R.A. Fever,” The Kills’ first single from Midnight Boom (which hit stores March 18) is a magnetic blend of singer Alison “VV” Mosshart’s husky, snarling vocals and guitarist Jamie “Hotel” Hince’s sludgy, sneering riffs. The song’s seductively bluesy vibe is further enhanced by the pair’s suggestive banter (“Walk you to the counter/What do you got to offer/Pick you out a solder/Look at you forever”) and foot-stomping beat.
After listening to the track, you may ask yourself why Hince is dating Kate Moss when his chemistry with Mosshart is obviously explosive. Download it and check out the video, which is just as cryptically hot.
