…Well, sort of.

Gorillavsbear just posted this tidbit – the first I’ve seen – from what may be the most highly anticipated remix of the year. Not sure how I feel about it. Some of the synth feels v. awkward.
Either way, it will be better than previous attempts to mix/mash-up Yeah Yeah Yeahs, as Jett and I discussed in our last podcast. That Radioface “Y Girls” mash-up? Yeah, never should have happened. And Stereogum called MSTRKRT’s remix soulless.
We’ll reserve judgment on the AnCo attempt until the whole thing makes its way to the web – the remix is the B-side to a limited-edition “Zero” 7-inch, which came out last week with pre-orders of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s phenomenal new album, It’s Blitz! I’m sort of surprised there isn’t a full copy of this remix out there. Do y’all know of any I’ve overlooked??

I was just going to write about this. It’s a lot better than the others…but I’m still confused. “Zero” isn’t even the best song on the album…and what makes a song more eligible for remixing?
