This week’s city is Boston, MA. One of the most historical cities in the United States also has it’s own place in musical history.

While Boston’s scene may not be as prominent as some others around the country, it has quite the rap sheet of music.  It was and still is home to such bands as Aerosmith, Pixies, Dropkick Murphys and well, Boston.  While Beantown has produced some big names, it also has a small but booming scene.  The city and its surrounding towns are producing a lot of solid indie rock, along with some other interesting sounds.  A city nearly run by college kids, much like our very own Syracuse, the sounds of Boston, Cambridge, Allston, etc., are not to be looked over.

Being from Connecticut and having family in there, Boston is like a second home to me, and it’s one of the cities I love the most.  I’ll have some people in the studio with me talking about what it’s like to live in the greater Boston area and why it’s so awesome.  Listen to City Sounds on WERW, Mondays from 11am-1pm!
