New Eminem Single
Good news: One of raps most polarizing figures, Eminem played a song off of his soon to be released album “Relapse.” Even better news: Dr. Dre produced most of the upcoming album. The upcoming release of “Relapse” (Eminem’s first album in four years) might be a precursor to Dr. Dre’s much anticipated “Detox.” Interscope could be planning a “three-headed monster” with 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre releasing their albums in succession.
Finally…a Chinese Democracy
Speaking of much anticipated albums, Chinese Democracy, the long awaited release by Guns ‘n Roses will finally see the light of day on November 25. A pre-order page on Best Buy’s website is currently up with a track listing of the new album. With the release, everyone in America has the prospect of getting a free Dr. Pepper. The soda company promised a free can for every American if Chinese Democracy was released within the year.
FIghters of Foo DVD
The Foo Fighters will be releasing a DVD on November 16 documenting their concerts at historic Wembley Stadium this past June. I am a big fan of the Foo Fighters, but I am more excited to see the footage of John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page joining Dave Grohl and the gang on-stage during an encore performance on the second night. The Zeppelin half and the Foo Fighters played Rock and Roll and Ramble On.
U2 Makes More Money
And I mean a lot of money. The band plans on netting $19 million from Live Nation. U2 signed a 12-year contract to tour with the company earlier in the year. It is rumored that Live Nation could make over a billion dollars in profit since the band’s last tour (2005-2007) grossed $400 million.
