Lately I’ve been listening to music made in the 1950s. Most notably, I’ve been listening to Elvis Presley’s eponymous debut album and one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Les Paul. For the young ones out there, Les Paul is not just a guitar but a brilliant guitarist and the man who made the first solid body guitar.

I recently stumbled upon a site that has a few of The Les Paul Shows which are 15 minutes of him and his wife Mary Ford playing hits like “How High The Moon” and “Vaya Con Dios” while doing hilarious sketches.  Check it out here – you won’t be disappointed.

For those still stuck in the 2000s and want to indulge in the true classics of the 50s, don’t forget about The King and Les Paul. And if you’re ever in New York City, be sure to check out Paul because he still plays every Monday night at the age of 93.
