Syracuse does not stand alone.  While it seems like we have had an unfortunate streak of bad luck (Passion Pit cancelled their show with Ra Ra Riot at the last minute and the Handsome Furs came down with “food poisoning”), thousands of British fans now share our pain.  There are tons of rumors swirling around about why the band cancelled their American tour, including: “they want to record…their label is supporting them” and “their label is pissed…they threatened to drop them if they didn’t play SXSW.”  And now, today, they announced that they’ve cancelled their entire UK tour due to “personal reasons.” After being one of the people dying to see Passion Pit at the Westcott, I came to the conclusion that with this track record I may never see them live.  If you haven’t heard the band, check out their dance-electro songs combined with a very auto-tuned voice.  Their music is pretty addicting solely because it makes you so happy, but without live performances it’s hard to see how much they’re going to grow.

I’m still confused as to what auto-tune vocals are…What’s a good example?
