Red Nose Day is the main day where the Comic Relief organization, founded in the UK about two decades ago, raises money for refugee camps and other registered charity organizations. Under normal circumstances, the organization “celebrates” by wearing red clown noses in exchange for donations. The BBC channel runs a daylong marathon, collecting viewers’ money that goes to the charity organizations.
This year Red Nose Day took place on March 13, but took a different promotional approach with help from musicians and Stella McCartney. Stella McCartney, daughter of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, designed a select amount of t-shirts with The Beatles and Morecambe/Wise wearing red clown-noses.
