PREVIEW: Download Neon Indian’s “Terminally Chill” MP3

Might as well put iTunes on loop after your first listen of Neon Indian‘s “Terminally Chill,” because you’re not going to be able to get the tune out of your head for days. Brought to you by VEGA‘s Alan Polomo, Neon Indian is the year’s most infectious, catchy and almost-breathtaking pop project. From the second you hit play, you’re dropped into a box full of psychadelia, stunning synths and a beat picked right out of the late 1970s. It’s lo-fi electronic music at its finest, and it’s gained a permanent place on my summer playlist. Sadly however, Neon Indian’s full-length debut, Psychic Chasms, won’t be out until October 13th, so this one’s going to have to hold you over. Good thing they band has kindly offered the track to us via Pitchfork.

No prob, Jett. Their other self-distributed track, “Deadbeat Summer,” is also floating around the internet, and is an equally good time, if you’re interested.
