Former members of The February left Syracuse for Brooklyn a few years ago after they graduated. Brady Oh, Liam Farrell and Ryan Raichilson returned to Syracuse with bassist Zach Rubinfeld in tow to wow a new generation as Hunters and Runners. They played at Funk N Waffles on Saturday, April 24, 2010 alongside good friend Erica Scarano and a new band on the Syracuse scene The Dead Set. Afterward all three bands left to play a house party elsewhere.

This was The Dead Set’s debut as a band. The Dead Set have been around under a few monikers for the past two years, since guitarist Charlie Magnone and drummer Steve Glor first got together to play music. With composition major Alex Amadeo on keyboard-bass, they began playing rock songs after Magnone’s songwriting began to shift from more complicated, sometimes string-based music to simpler rock songs. Scarano, who has known Oh since they went to high school together, was very supportive of both Hunters and Runners and The Dead Set.
