Lil Wayne's "Whoever You Like" is a name-dropping ode to casual sex

PREVIEW: Download Lil’ Wayne’s “Whoever You Like (Feat. Jae Millz & Gudda Gudda)”

First off, this song’s unintentionally hilarious. Lil’ Wayne‘s “Whoever You Like,” off of his Dedication 3 mixtape, is nothing but a name-dropping ode to casual sex, set to the beat of T.I.‘s 2008 hit, “Whatever You Like”. And yet, blindly, I love it. Not because it’s great rapping (it’s not), or because it features a ton of awesome guest stars (hip-hop C-listers Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda wouldn’t qualify), but rather, it’s because he’s literally just having fun. To me, that seems to be the best part about his music, and why I fail to lob the same criticisms at him that others do.

Who else would write a song about shopping his friends out to girls? Well, ladies, if you’re interested, according to Lil’ Wayne, “you can do whoever you like; yea Gudda Gudda, T-Streets, Drizzy Drake, Mack Maine, Jae Millz, Tyga Tyga; you can do whoever you like.” Seriously. He also throws in Taz Po for good measure. If you can’t find the comedy in this, then I don’t know what to tell you. Thank you for your continued ability to make me laugh, Weezy.
